Understanding the
Canine Mind

Welcome to the British Institute of Canine Science where our single mission is to more deeply and clearly understand man's best friend.

We are a small team of independent researchers dedicated to furthering human understanding of dogs and we rely on your kindness and generosity to keep our mission alive.

Alongside our own research into the canine mind, we also aim to make academic writings accessible by breaking them down and explaining to our members and helping owners for free with their dogs along the way.

Your membership ensures we can continue our vital research so from the entire team at the institute we offer our greatest thanks to all members keeping the dream alive.

Who Are We?

We are a small, British team of  independent researchers committed to understanding the canine mind.

The British Institute of Canine Science was founded to perform robust, up to date scientific studies to further develop the understanding of dogs, behaviour and training.

We work tirelessly so dogs and people can thrive alongside one another.  Driven by our passion we continue to push to shape and understand mans best friend.

Our ambition is to make the canine world a better place through science, addressing psychology, promoting complete and thorough research and producing answers to the questions that are so vital to our understanding.

Support Future Canine Research

Becoming a member of the British Institute of Canine Science gives you exclusive access to our academic breakdowns every week.  We aim to make academic writing accessible to all by analysing and evaluating studies from all over the world.

Members receive a weekly breakdown of an academic paper discussing the science, the data, and the real life effects of the study alongside other perks that can be found on our members page.

Without our members support we would not be able to continue our vital research so we offer our endless thanks to everybody who chooses to support the cause and we hope we can offer great value to all our members.
